The Beach — a world guide
The Beach is Catchmemeow with its shoes off. Golden sand runs right down to the rolling surf, little boats bob on the swell, and the palm trees sway like they have all day — which, being palm trees, they do. Keep one eye on the water while you play: dolphins arc through the waves out there, and every so often a sea turtle paddles past in no particular hurry.
Somewhere on that busy stretch of sand sits the one critter from the poster, doing its very best to look like everybody else. That's the whole game: study the face up top, then comb the beach together until somebody squeals and points. There's no clock to beat and no way to lose — the tide keeps its own time, and so can you. Of all the worlds, this is the one we reach for when the day needs slowing down.
What to look for in the Beach
Six secrets are tucked into this beach, and every one of them is the blend-in kind — no bobbing giveaways here, just sneaky sunbathers. When you spot one, tap it. Here's who's hiding in the sand:
- The Beach Bow-Wow — a totally tubular surfing pup who rides the gnarliest waves and takes the longest naps.
- Sandy Claws — a snippy little crab with strong opinions about your toes; he travels sideways on principle.
- Calico Jack — a swashbuckling pirate kitty whose buried treasure turns out to be a clam. X marks the nap spot.
- Salty Pawblo — a golden retriever happy to fetch the same stick a thousand times, then shake the whole ocean off right beside you.
- Surfin' Purrl — a beach kitty in shades who naps hard, surfs harder, and snacks hardest.
- Captain Barkbados — a jolly sea-dog chasing buried gold he's never found, on beach days that feel like a jackpot anyway.
And keep half an eye out for the wanderers — Cameow Sandiego, Schrödinger's Kit, Penny the Pug, and Mika have been known to turn up on any shore, this one included.
Tips for grown-ups
- Warm up with a little wave watching: point out the dolphins arcing offshore and see who can spot a sea turtle first.
- Good words to practice here: sand, wave, boat, crab, sideways — that last one pairs nicely with a living-room crab scuttle after you find Sandy Claws.
- All of this beach's own treasures are the blending-in kind, so nothing streaks away. Scan slowly, tracing the shoreline together with one finger.

One more thing…
Real crabs scuttle sideways because their legs bend that way — walking straight ahead simply isn't built in. Sandy Claws insists it was his idea first, and frankly we're not brave enough to argue with him.
