The Clouds — a world guide
Somewhere above the weather, above the birds, above pretty much everything, there's a neighborhood made entirely of clouds. A rainbow arches across the sky, a castle floats by on its own personal puff, and the whole happy crowd has dressed for the occasion — propeller beanies spinning, winged caps flapping, everyone cleared for takeoff even though nobody is going anywhere in particular.
Little planes and balloons drift past while you search. So does everything else, honestly — this is a floaty world, and the critters bob along like they've politely forgotten which way is down. Somewhere in all that gentle drifting is the one special critter from the poster, waiting to be spotted. Take your time. Nobody up here is in a hurry, least of all Pegasus Paws, a winged kitty who has claimed the very softest cloud strictly for napping purposes.
What to look for in the Clouds
Four secret critters call this sky home, and every one of them is the blending-in kind — no bouncing, no waving, just hiding in plain sight among the beanies until somebody sharp-eyed gives them a tap. Here's who's up there:
- Pegasus Paws — the winged kitty herself, famous for leaving little rainbow paw-prints across the sky and then napping like flying never happened.
- Captain Cloudchaser — a daring little aviator pup, goggles on and ears back, looping the loops between snoozes on the fluffiest clouds.
- Amelia Purrhart — an aviator cat who flies solo, goggles down and whiskers in the wind, always answering when adventure calls.
- Sir Fluffalo Nimbus — the noble sky-cat of the puffiest cloud-castle, who has officially decreed that every afternoon shall be nap o'clock.
And keep half an eye out for the world-hoppers — Cameow Sandiego, Schrödinger's Kit, Penny the Pug, and Mika have been known to turn up just about anywhere, including here.
Tips for grown-ups
- Every critter up here is in flight gear, so a hat alone won't crack the case. Compare colors, stripes, and ears to the poster together — good detective practice.
- Point at whatever drifts by: airplane, balloon, rainbow, castle. "Up" and "sky" are satisfying little words to practice while everything floats.
- It's a slow, drifty world, which makes it a lovely wind-down pick — try a whisper-voice round before naps or bedtime.
- There are no timers and no losing, so if small fingers want to tap every single cloud on the way to the critter, that's playing it exactly right.
One more thing…
Three of the four secret critters up here are confirmed nappers, and the fourth is probably just between naps. We can't blame them — if our whole world were made of the fluffiest stuff there is, we'd declare nap o'clock too.
