The Deep Sea — a world guide

From the Catchmemeow field guide · updated July 2026

Down, down, down — past the last sunbeam that made it through the deep blue, past a sunken ship dozing on the sea floor, past coral that sways like it hears a song only coral can hear. This is the Deep Sea, and everybody down here came prepared. The whole crowd is suited up in dive gear: bubble helmets, snorkels poking up hopefully even though the surface is a very long way away.

Nothing sits still in this world. Fish drift, the crowd bobs gently, and a little yellow submarine puffs by on important submarine business. Somewhere in all that floating is the one special critter your kiddo is looking for — and, this being Catchmemeow, there is no timer ticking and no way to lose. Just look, point, tap, and let the sea sway you. When you find your critter, the whole ocean seems pleased about it. So are we.

What to look for in the Deep Sea

Three secret sea-dwellers hide in this world, and all three are the sneaky kind: they blend right into the crowd, bobbing along like they belong there (which, to be fair, they do). Tell little eyes to look twice at anyone who seems a bit too fabulous, then tap to collect.

A few wanderers — Cameow Sandiego, Schrödinger’s Kit, Penny the Pug, and Mika — can drift through any world, this one included, so a sharp-eyed kid is never quite done looking.

Tips for grown-ups

One more thing…

Take a good look at those snorkels. A snorkel only works at the surface, which from down here is a very long way up — so every snorkel in this crowd is really just optimism you can wear on your head. We respect it enormously.
